My stay at Hotel Moegi was a mixed bag. The location is decent for skiing, but the overall presentation felt quite outdated. While the staff had their moments of helpfulness, there were more than a few frustrating experiences that overshadowed the positives.

The rooms are small and feel tired, with very limited hanging space. the bathrooms are especially cramped, even by Japanese standards. Though the warmth was a nice touch, navigating the narrow staircase without a lift was inconvenient.

The front desk staff could be more knowledgeable. I found some team members quite helpful, but the manager's grumpiness during check-out was off-putting.

The hotel is visually close to the Gondola, but the walk up the hill after a long day of skiing was a real downer. Accessing nearby amenities was also a bit of a trek.

Breakfast and dinner options were available at the hotel. but having a great meal was overshadowed by my overall lack of a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The ski locker area and public bath could use improvement. The lockers were tiny and inadequate for drying boots, while the public bath was disappointing when it came to temperature control.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel Moegi. The warm rooms and friendly staff were a plus, but the small space, outdated decor, and awkward location took a toll on my experience. The ski lockers were inadequate and the bathroom was among the smallest I've seen in Japan, which was disappointing.

The hotel is situated halfway up a hill, making the return from skiing a real drag. Although it seems close to the lift, the walk back uphill after a long day on the slopes isn’t ideal.

Breakfast was simple with sandwiches and cereal, but I appreciated the 24/7 coffee. The dining options were decent, but not overly exciting.

There was a nice public bath area, but it wasn’t hot when I needed it, and the ski lockers were cramped. Also, I found it inconvenient that the staircases were narrow and there was no elevator.

The staff was fantastic overall, always warm and helpful with recommendations. They arranged my gear to be delivered from Narita Airport and managed my needs well. However, my experience with check-in and checkout was less than ideal due to switching rooms unexpectedly.

I loved the location, just a short and pleasant walk to the Happo gondola and the Shirakawa 2 lift. It was incredibly convenient for skiing, although the uphill return after a long day on the slopes proved a bit tiring.
